Portland West & East | Therapeutic Residential Child Care Facility
This house is the oldest facility of the Shiloh Home Programs. The home operates as two separate programs, one on the West side and one on the East. The total number of clients served in this program is 16 between the ages of 11 and 16. The program is maintained by a team of 10 staff members, comprised of Treatment Counselors and Program Coordinators. Within the program, clients focus on accountability for their actions and how their behaviors or actions have impacted those close to them. Special attention is directed to issues of self directed behavior, as well as the need for appropriate normative activities. Clients also benefit from living in a group setting and learn the responsibilities entailed in running a household.
The West side provides longer term treatment for youth dealing with conduct disorder, family discord, and attachment issues. The East side has been converted into an emergency access program in partnership with Jefferson County, and is available for youth who require immediate crisis intervention.
