Holidays Around The World
The 2009 celebration of holidays around the world was a spectacular event that was enjoyed by clients, staff and fellow community members. Guests had the opportunity to sample dishes as our Shiloh youth prepared meals and information about various countries and their holidays. A few of the countries explored were Italy, Poland, Spain, Australia, Tibet, Sweden, Thailand, and Egypt.
Over the years Holidays around the world has continued to grow in popularity as members of the community have become increasingly involved. In order to accommodate a large amount of guests Shiloh House partnered with Church For All Nations, which generously hosted the event by offering their ornately decorated and large banquet room. The additional space allowed for a more comfortable atmosphere for clients, staff, and guests. In addition to the continued support we receive from our executive and advisory board, we were joined by membes of the DTC Optimists Club, Foot Hills Tae Kwan Do, several representatives from county human service departments, local faith communities, as well as members from the CBS Channel 4 Team.
Congratulations and thanks are in order for everyone who made this a wonderful event. The residential teams and the clients did an excellent job with their presentations. The administrative staff was extremely helpful in coordinating details and communications. We can't wait to see what the boys come up with next year!
