Happenings And Upcoming Events
Yarrow kids experienced a breath of fresh air on their excursion to St Mary's Glacier where they enjoyed an adventure of snow shoeing. They followed up with a second trip to Breckenridge on January 28th.
Yarrow and Portland kids attended the Pro-Rodeo this past weekend and had a great time watching the cowboys and watching the children ride sheep (mutton busting). Adams kids attended and enjoyed the festivities the week prior.
In a quest for fitness, the boys from Portland participated in a weekly work out club. Their instructor was Walter Bond-Lead I TC. Yarrow kids will also be joining this club in the near future. This was a great way to redirect that extra energy!
Portland East boys and the DTC Optimists Club members got together on January 25th to play games and eat snacks. There were about 7 members who came and were looking for a re-match from last year's Game Night of UNO. They are not telling us who won!
Longmont, The Sanctuary, Adams, Portland West, Journey and Yarrow kids are starting a new program called A.R.K. (Art Reaching Kids). In January there was an art show displaying the kids' work. The next one will be on Friday, February 17th. All proceeds from the artwork goes to the client/artist.
