Board Spotlight: A Fighting Chance
Greg Sampier has served on Shiloh's Board of Directors since the program began over 25 years ago. As a policeman for over 20-years and also a youth pastor, Greg has seen firsthand the struggles of today's youth. When asked why he has been a committed member of Shiloh's Board for so many years, Greg said, "Often the kids that are filling our detention centers and jails are raised in a defeated atmosphere. They are treated as disposable. They need a safe place to go -- a place that can stop the pattern. By far, Shiloh has the best reputation for integrity and treatment results. The at-home environment that Shiloh provides is not the typical, staterun, institutional program. It is hands-on, heartfelt and delivered by a group of caring professionals - it is what needs to be done. Unfortunately, we aren't going to fix every kid who walks through the doors, but at least these kids have a fighting chance."
