This position will require heavy lifting and previous maintenance/grounds keeping/repair experience. Company vehicle and all tools will be provided!
Compensation
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $50,000-$58,200 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Schedule
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; flexibility outside of these hours may be required based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities
Directly supervises the Building Operations Technician(s) and Maintenance Assistant(s). The Building Operations Supervisor acts as a role model/leader to their employees and acts as a back-up to their employee on an as needed basis while delegating job duties appropriately.
Interviewing, staff training and development of department personnel as directed on an ongoing basis.
Formulating and delivering corrective and disciplinary actions for employees they supervise in conjunction with Human Resources as directed on an ongoing basis.
Ensures that lawns at all the facilities are maintained: mowed, fertilized and raked on an on-going basis.
Trims trees and shrubs on an on-going basis.
Cleaning carpets in all facilities and vehicles on an as needed basis.
Assists food service staff on an as needed basis.
Assists in the set-up for special events on an as needed basis.
Assists in picking-up donations on an as needed basis.
Move furniture at facilities and storage units on an as needed basis.
Assists in painting facilities on an as needed basis.
Responsible for maintaining upkeep and appearance (both interior and exterior) of all agency property on an on-going basis.
Responsible for assisting maintenance in shoveling snow and keeping sidewalks free of hazard on an as needed basis.
Responsible for donation pick up and will represent the agency in a manner demonstrating high positive customer service and friendliness with all donors and vendors.
Check and respond to all emails and voicemails within 24 business hours.
Tour each facility they oversee bi-weekly to provide instruction for the Building Operations Technician.
Obtain three bids on all projects that are being contracted by a private entity.
Obtain permission for all large purchases prior to the purchase.
Will be the after hours on-call for emergency maintenance/ building needs for their programs.
Requirements
The Building Operations Supervisor will have at least one year experience in grounds keeping and/or janitorial service with basic maintenance and repair knowledge.
Experience in the following areas are a plus: Maintenance technician, maintenance assistant, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, handyman, facilities technician, maintenance
Must be professional and have supervisor/management experience.
Must be at least 23 years of age.
Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted.
