We are looking for qualified individuals to join our growing Clinical team. Work directly with our youth and help them reintegrate into our community and reunify with their families.

Disclaimer:  Shiloh House is currently hiring for two similar positions: Intake Clinician and Referral & Intake Specialist. However, only one of these positions will be filled. Applicants are welcome to apply for one or both positions, but please note that only one final hire will be made between the two. 

Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected starting salary for this Colorado position is $59,291.62 - $63,260.00 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing all referral screenings as assigned including residential and day treatment programs.

  • All referral call biopsychosocial screenings will be completed on the day that the call was received.

  • Communication to the referral decision making team will occur immediately.

  • Additional collection of collateral information as requested by the decision making team will be collected from the referring agent immediately.

  • Once a decision to admit or decline is made by the referral team the Intake Clinician will immediately communicate the decision and coordinate the intake.

  • Will maintain excellent positive relationships with all referring parties and will be highly responsive to all referrals.

  • Will complete client and family or placing agent interview and subsequent documentation required for intake including bio psychosocial tool, admission packet, intake treatment plan, and CCAR.

  • The employee is responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.

  • The employee with provide holistic and comprehensive therapy and case management services as assigned.

  • The employee will provide individual, group, family and multi-family therapy, coaching, skill building, training of adolescents and their families on an on-going basis and any/all other therapeutic interventions consistent with the needs of the client.

  • The employee will serve in the agency on-call rotation as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • The Intake Clinician requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents and their families preferred. 

  • The Intake Clinician will have knowledge of referral assessment and coordination. 

  • The Intake Clinician will have the ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities.

  • The Intake Clinician will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish rapport with children and adolescents. 

  • The Intake Clinician will have experience working with persons in crisis.

  • The Intake Clinician must be eligible for provisional license through DORA if not already licensed. 

  • Where applicable, the clinician will be licensed in their discipline, and a history of ethical practice will be demonstrated through a search of the grievance board database, as well as by not being listed on the Central Registry.

Other qualifications include:

  • A valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets agency requirements are required for this position. All tickets, citations, and violations of the law must be reported to the Human Resource Department.

  • Must be willing to pass background checks, including FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks.

  • Experience in the provision of clinical services to a wide variety of clients, presenting issues and diagnosis, including office based and home based therapy, residential, outpatient and day treatment clients.

  • This position also requires expertise in assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, case management, crisis management, and treatment planning.
