Independent Living Program

Beyond the Walls

Beyond the Walls is Shiloh House’s Independent Living Skills Program for youth and young adults ages 14–26. It helps bridge the gap from case management to independent living by teaching essential life skills, building confidence, and providing consistent support during key transitions.

Each participant is paired with a dedicated coach who creates a personalized, youth-led plan. Together, they focus on areas like:

  • Housing and employment

  • Financial literacy

  • Education and career goals

  • Health and well-being

  • Community connections

  • Advocacy and self-sufficiency

Coaches walk alongside participants, connecting them with resources, mentors, and real-world learning opportunities. The goal is simple: equip young people to thrive as independent, confident, and connected members of their communities.
