Internship Opportunities & Learning Services
Community Outreach Internships Positions: Clinical Internships
Community Outreach Intern Positions: Foundation and Concentration year students The Community Outreach Intern is offered learning opportunities in helping individuals via the support line, access to community resources, parenting classes, shadowing clinical staff, and participating in life skills teaching.
MSW & MA Direct Therapy Intern Opportunities: Clinical Internships
MSW & MA Direct Therapy Internship Opportunities (Master’s Concentration Year Students only): Direct Therapy Internship opportunities are offered in the Community Outpatient Program and Day Treatment Programs. The Direct Therapy Internship offers learning opportunities that prepare interns for a career in mental health counseling or clinical social work.
Human Resources (HR) Internships
HR Department Internship Opportunities (Senior Bachelors and all Masters Level): The Shiloh House Human Resources Department offers internship learning in all areas of Human Resources in a non-profit child welfare setting. These learning opportunities include; recruiting, interviewing, benefits management, personnel file management, licensure and accreditation compliance, department of labor compliance, employee relations, on-boarding and training, and other HR related areas.
Referral & Intake Department Internships
Referral and Intake Department Internship Opportunities (Foundation and Concentration year Master’s level): The Shiloh House Referral and Intake Department offers excellent learning opportunities focused on assessment, diagnosis, child welfare system, children and adolescent treatment/placement planning, professional development in clinical communication, writing and multi-disciplinary team skills, group therapy skill development, crisis intervention and behavior intervention.
Food Service and Event Planning Internship
We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our Food Service Team! As a Food Service Specialist Intern you will be working closely with our Executive Chef and Lead Food Service Specialist who will provide you tasks ranging from prepping food, cleaning, organizing, setting up for events, menu planning and catering.
Interns will be able to apply their hands-on experience to whatever avenue of Hospitality, Culinary or Restaurant Management they are interested in and will receive the opportunity to work with a Non-Profit whose mission is to serve their community.
Education Internships
Education Department Internship Opportunities (Senior Bachelors degree and Masters level):The Shiloh House education department offers school based Behavior Support Technician internship opportunities. These internship opportunities provide excellent learning specific to school settings and special education student behavior and academic enhancement.
In this internship setting opportunities to work closely with the education staff and learn behavior interventions with special education students is highlighted.
Business Internships
Licensing, Accreditation and Development Departments Internship Opportunities: (Foundation and Concentration year Masters Level) The Shiloh House Licensing and Development Departments offers internship opportunities which focus on learning non-profit business skills in licensing, accreditation, fundraising, community resource development, non-profit business administration, professional communication, and overall agency administration, and management.
Learning the business elements that provide the structure and support for the children and families that we serve is a vital component for ensuring community education, program expansion and advocacy.
