On Call Specialist

Our residential department is looking for an On Call Specialist to join our team. An ideal candidate will offer flexibility, teamwork, problem solving skills, critical thinking, and crisis management skills. 

Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $56,485 - $66,414 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Areas of Responsibilities Include:

  • Respond to all on-call phone calls.

  • Provide administrative consultation to staff in a wide variety of areas including; crisis intervention, client planning, policy direction, medical advice (with support from medical on-call), staffing coordination, suicide safety planning (with support from clinical on-call), and administrative decision making (with support from administration on-call).

  • Provide coverage for evening and/or overnight shifts when scheduling crisis occurs that cannot be solved with normal staff resources.

  • Behavior management, limit and structure setting, the ability to create/follow a routine, when at a facility.

  • Documentation, organization, problem solving, and communication.

  • Crisis management.

  • Ensure policy compliance.

  • Provide support to staff and assist in problem solving residential treatment situations.

Requirements:

  • Must have a professional mentality

  • Applicants must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a health/human services-related field or high school diploma and three years experience in residential treatment setting

  • Must be at least 23 years of age

  • Must be willing to pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse database background checks

  • Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one

  • Must meet agency MVR criteria

  • Due to the short length of stay for these clients, mastery of direct care skills are a must
